Community Annual Program


I. PRAYER LIFE:
The Brothers' community is a community of prayer. The Brothers pray together. Together they hear the word of God and meditate on it. Together they recognize that they are sinners before God and they participate in the same Eucharist. Together they seek God and it is together that they find him. [Rule 50)

1.1 Time table for Prayer:
Morning prayer & meditation : 06:15 am
Evening prayer (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) : 07:30 pm
Eucharist (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) : 07:00 am
Eucharist (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) : 07:30 pm

1.2. Brothers take little extra effort to organize the evening prayer more creatively and relatively. Incharge: Prayer Leader of the week

[Sharing on the spiritual reading, about the deceased Brothers, friends, parents, relatives, teachers, political issues, daily news, day's gospel reading, … etc. could form as part of evening prayer.]

1.3. On all Saturdays Brothers will join the boys for the campus rosary at the grotto of Our Lady. Incharge: Br. Britto
1.4. On all first Thursdays, adoration will be organized by the respective prayer leader.

1.5. Prayers on the Lasallian Companions will be used on all Lasallian feast days.

II. APOSTOLIC COMMITMENT:
The Brothers gladly associate lay persons with them in their educational mission. They provide, for those who so desire, the means to learn about the Founder and to live according to his spirit. [Rule 17]

2.1. Pastoral Plan for the boys which includes prayer life, catechism, value, human right education will be prepared and implemented. Incharge: Br. Britto
2.2. The boys will be encouraged to attend Young Lasallian Resource Building Programs organized by the Delegation Incharge: Br. Britto
2.3. The staff will be encouraged to attend the Lasallian Partnership Training Programs organized by the Delegation. Incharge: Br. Britto
2.4. Periodical organization and evaluation with the staff will be conducted by the respective department head. Incharge: Brs. Gerald & John Paul
2.5. Brothers will be engaged either in teaching catechism (or) giving good night talk. Incharge: Br. Britto

III. BROTHERHOOD:
The community is for the Brothers their home. It is there that they live together. It is there that they experience each day anew the friendship, the esteem, the trust and the respect that they have for one another. The community recognizes and welcomes the grace-filled occasions for pardon and reconciliation among its members.

3.1. Evening meals will be the community dinner followed by a short walk (or) recreation. Incharge: Br. Gerald
3.2. Once a month during the recollection time, appreciation and reconciliation will be organized. Incharge: Organizer
3.3. Birthday celebration of the community members will have an organized prayer service and holy mass. Incharge: Br. Gerald
3.4 Brotherhood day: On October 4th will be celebrated Incharge: Brs. Gerald and Britto
3.5 Feast of our Founder in September will be celebrated Incharge:

IV. RELATIONSHIP WITH OUTSIDERS:
To achieve the purposes of a school, the Brothers foster a spirit of collaboration and mutual enrichment among all the members of the educational community. They, that is, students, parents, teachers, other religious, priests, former students and friends help one another to fulfill their specific roles. [Rule 17b]

4.3. Three visits to other Industrial Schools will be organized for our staff.

4.5. Any invitations from the neighboring religious / non religious community or institutions will be honoured with the presence of at least one of the community members. Incharge: Brs. Arockiadoss & Gerald

V. CONTINUING FORMATION:
Superiors and communities strive to provide each Brother with the conditions and the means most suitable to develop his spiritual, theological and professional formation. [Vita Consecrata]

5.1. Every Brother is responsible for his own spiritual reading
52. Brothers are encouraged to spend minimum 15 days during the year for his job related spiritual / theological / professional formation. Incharge: Br. Arockiadoss

VI. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES:
In community the Brothers maintain a spirit of friendship and brotherhood that gives support to their affective life. They take means to preserve their physical health and emotional stability. [Rule 30]
6.1. Once a month, the community will go out for a movie / picnic spot followed by a dinner. Incharge: Br. John Paul
6.2. Annual tour with the boys / with the Brothers will be organized. Incharge: Br. Britto

VII. INTERNAL ORGANIZATION:
Community meetings constitute a significant occasion for the Brothers to reflect together, in the light of the gospel, on the way they actually live. The Brothers realize that community meetings are necessary for the life of the community and they take part in them willingly. They make use of these opportunities to express their opinions, to put forward suggestions, and to share their experience and their knowledge.
