Mission in Computer Field

Twenty years back when computers entered. Indian marked, it could for the future. Most people have started making us of the computer for all possible applications. Today, the kids play on a computer screen, a mouse and several pieces of software and exchange CD ROMs with their school maters through Internet, like children used to exchange comics in an earlier era. Almost all the business concerns, both private and public are modernized with Computer technology. So most of the students, Employees and other business men prefer to get training in computer education as there is a lot of scope for its use.


So sensing the vital role of computer in today's world. Brothers Felt that it would be an ideal time to begin a computer center along with the present curriculum, to address the needs of the young people. So it was started in 1997. It's almost three years since the La Salle Computer Academy was established. It was started with just two 80286 Machines and a printer. Gradually it progressed to get its complete shape with advanced machines and accessories. Now the Academy is equipped with twenty systems. 10 Laptops, a laser printer and Internet facility and provides each student a computer.



CDAC Facility in LCA

In November 1998, the Government of India recognized the centre as one of the 600 CDAC centres in India, with this recognition; the centre started offering CDAC Government Certified Courses. CCB, COA, CCGA, CDTP, DOA, DOA & FA, DCP, CIT, Oracle 8, ADCA courses are available in CDAC centre. Since last ten years around 125 candidates were benefited by this CDAC centre.


LCA for School Students

The La Salle Computer Academy feels proud that it has produced about 5000 students. The primary reason to start the centre was to give computer education to the +1 and +2 students, following the Government syllabus. Many of school batches of the students who have come through the Academy have produced 100% pass results in the Government public examination. From VI to XII English medium students are used to develop their computer knowledge through their practical hours. Moreover our IX std Tamil medium students are also benefiting at evening time.





LCA at Summer

The La Salle Computer Academy decided to make this summer into a pleasant one of the students around its campus. During these 8 weeks the LASALLE campus was very busy with dynamic young men and women participating in the computer courses. They picked up more practical skills in operating computers than the rudimentary knowledge. They got well versed themselves in theory as well as in practical knowledge of BASIC, FOXPRO, WINDOWS, MS_ OFFICE, TALLY, C,C++, JAVA and INTERNET Technologies, VISUAL BASIC and other latest software. The La Salle Computer Academy boasts itself of qualitative education, very less fee structure and the hard work of the staff. The La Salle Computer Academy feels proud that it has produced about 600 students beneficiaries as computer literate so far, to complete the world.

Achievements

On the whole, we the Lasalle computer Academy created nearly 6325 computer knowledgeable candidates. And also we gave a computer training for 600 Policemen, and 200 teachers as social service.
