Community
On 1st of June 2005 is a red letter day
because the tenth community of De La Salle Brothers
in Indian Delegation was born on that day. The name
of the community is St. La Salle Puthumanam. This expansion
takes place during the year of La Salle Ministry of
Youth 2005. Rt. Rev. P. Antony Pappusamy, the Bishop
of Dindigul was the chief celebrant of the Holy Eucharist.
The birth of the new community was inaugurated by Bro.
Mark Murphy and Bro. John Fdo., officiated the community
Brothers. At present the following Brothers Arulsamy,
Director, Arul Jegan, Johnson and Jeyakumar form the
community. Bro. Arulsamy shoulders the responsibility
of animation St. La Salle Puthumanam Industrial School.
Bro. Jeyakumar is following a catechetical course at
Bangalore. Bro. Arul Jegan is studying M.A. Rural Development.
Bro. Johnson got a place in B.Ed college at Natham and
he travels daily 25 K.M. for his college. As a community
we continue the apostolate led by our Holy Founder.
At Present Bro. Arulsamy and Bro. Jeyakumar
are directly involving in the Industrial School. Bro.
Arulsamy is the Correspondent of School and Bro. Jayakumar
is the Co-ordinator of the Industrial School activities.
Along with them eight lay partners are working for the
welfare of targeted youth.
